Rahul's admission fee will be paid by the Ministry of Social Development

Dhangadhi. All fees of Rahul Nepali from Kailali for MBBS studies will be paid by Far West Ministry of Social Development. Although he passed the Medical Education Commission's entrance examination, he missed admission due to lack of finances. Even he, who received a financial scholarship from the state government, was denied admission.

Writing to the Medical Education Commission on Monday, the ministry mentioned that it will pay the admission fee. The news about his missing admission was published in various news media. Rahul from Gauriganga Municipality-6 of Kailali belongs to a poor family. Due to the poor financial situation of the family, it was not possible for them to enroll on their own.

Rahul was shortlisted for admission to Universal College of Medical Sciences and Teaching Hospital Bhairahawa. The teaching hospital had fixed the admission deadline from 26th January to 4th January. The hospital said that out of the total fee of 46 lakhs for MBBS studies, 15 lakhs should be paid at the time of admission. Earlier, Rahul had appealed to all the employees and ministers of the Ministry of Social Development, informing them that he was about to leave his enrollment, but no one listened. The Ministry had handed over the letter of "who is related to" on January 3 to avoid it. The hospital did not accept that letter as a basis. On the initiative of Chief Secretary Hari Lamsal, the Ministry has written a letter to the Medical Education Commission on Monday asking them to facilitate the admission and pay the fees.

Now it will be the first week of February whether Rahul will get admission or not. After the admitted students start their studies, the colleges issue a 9wrapup matching list of admissions in case of vacant seats. In that case, if the seat becomes vacant, Rahul says that there is a possibility that he will get admission. Nrip Sunar, who initiated the work, said that the state government should take responsibility to ensure Rahul's admission.
